Ok, this may seem an odd post, but do girls bleed a lot or at all the first time they have sex?

Cheers
I didn't bleed at all.

This is something I have often wondered, lol. And it's useful to know.

I didn't. For those of you with an enquiring/medical turn of mind, it depends whether a girl's hymen (a thin layer of skin a little way up in the vagina) breaks or not... if she's been particularly active or used tampons, etc, this will have been broken before she has sex.

yea, i mean this may seem like a complete noob's thought. But I was wondering if I would have to think up excuses as to why the bed sheets have been changed, as i never change them...

Me either.
mmm... I didn't bleed and I don't think you bleed much if you do - your only tearing a bit of skin

Some do, some don't.

I didn't.

Some women don't have an intact hymen when they first have sex, from things like tampons, even certain sports like horseriding.
I remember my cousin telling me that after his first time "there was blood everywhere". Oh how I laughed. It wasn't that funny, mind.

Just put down some newspaper. But try not to be distracted by it.
I did! My boyfriend rung his best mate up saying he thought he's been shot!!! :p: As to you worrying about washing the sheets, my boyfriend just ran downstairs and shoved them in the wash straightaway. It was about 3 in the morning so no-one woke up or heard!!!

Newspaper... you are joking!?
Oh yeah, and if there is bleeding, it's not much. As has been said, it's just a tear on a bit of skin.

If your worried about the bedsheets, why not try putting a towel there? Easier to explain away blood on a towel, or you could even handwash the stain out before it goes in the wash.

I know putting a towel down isn't particularly romantic....

Newspaper?! How romantic!

Try a towel. Then you can just say you had a nosebleed or something.
It's just one of those things. Some girls bleed and some girls don't. The post above about the hymen breaking is true. That is what causes the bleeding. It may be painful for some girls. Playing sport may affect whether this happens or not. Either way it is "normal"...
newspaper > towel

My ex-girlfriend bled so much she literally drowned in the sheets.
good mermington
newspaper > towel

I wouldn't have sex on top of a pile of newspapers...

A towel is more practical, and you're less likely to get Dear Deidre imprinted backwards on your arse.

Are you just too lazy to do any washing then? Really, handwashing a towel is only marginally more effort than binning blooded papers...
