BRIDAL WEAR

Footwear

Khusa Tradational Footwear
- The very famous khusa made by the mogals in Lahore, seen on everyones feet these days in UK,

Hardly any women in Pakistan wear anything like that except the slippers because they wouldn't be allowed to and the men, ahaha... well, unless you want to give off an image of being a bit of a sissy, then you wouldn't wear that neither.
It depends on who wears it and how they wear it, like any other fashion style. Colours and cuts need to match/suit your complexion (sp?), but some Pakistani fashion is very nice, although I find it's the same as Indian fashion.

i love all the shoes
It's gorgeous but I'm surprised if Pakistani girls are allowed to walk around wearing that stuff in Pakistan...I thought they all had to cover up etc, like in Iran.

if there not allowed to wear this stuff there then why are they making it and opening stores there?

and those for the men are wedding outfits, so you would only wear it on weddings.

It is not ignorance.

"Pakistan is a Muslim state and local customs, such as dress and behaviour, should be respected. Dress modestly. Men and women should cover their shoulders and legs when in public. Women should cover their heads when entering mosques or other holy places."

Taken from the FCO website.I do believe many of those outfits do not cover shoulders or legs....
those clothes were made for everyone to wear not exclusively pakistanis.i doubt the designers expect really religious women to wear the clothes because they know it's against their belieifs...i guess it mainly for modern pakistanis who live elsewhere or aren't that religious to bother about being covered up.that's my opinion but i think the clothes are really wonderful.i like them a lot!!

i love the colours, they're really vibrant and the clothes are decorated really nicely!
at a day at school when we had to dress smartly, some of my friends wore pakistani clothes and it was the most vibrant and beautiful blue colour i was so jealous
They're all absolutely beautiful... I want them all
That isn't just Pakistani wear you know. It should be generalised to Indian, since Hindu's and Sikhs including myself wear clothes like that. I think these suits are gorgeous! I went to India in August and bought about 5 or 6 suits like the ones you have posted, including the shoes too

Isn't there that Muslim tennis player that has caused a fuss for wearing a short skirt whilst playing? Yet in these pictures you say flaunting your stomach is acceptable.
Shaby, you're deluded my friend. I have lived in Pakistan for 5 years all over the place and i've never seen any women wear that in Public. Maybe in Private parties but never in public.
