Super vets

Just seen on RVC intranet a programme called 'Supervets', which begins today, on bbc 1 at 8.30 pm!! Apparently the RVC hawkshead is on it alot...

A new ten-part BBC1 Series, Super Vets, begins on Thursday 5th January 2006. Each episode will focus on a small number of cases, covering the work of the RVC and our hospitals as well as that of Whipsnade and London Zoo.

Super Vets will run for 10 weeks and is a prime time slot (Thursday evenings at 8.30pm) so will obviously generate some public interest in the College.

Might be good for interviews and stuff!!

Enough with the excitement already. The program was cool but the RVC is not, try speaking to some of the final year students before you go deciding that the RVC is the place for you. Teaching is piss poor and you'll notice that only with the horse that has nothing wrong with it were students present. ie no students in the heart surgery and none with the giraffe, you can make up your own mind what the college thinks of students. They recently trie dto ban students from driving onto the Hawkshead campus.....

The open heart surgery was risky enough without having students there...Surely the video-ing was enough - I doubt they would've given hands-on expereince for students there - considering the cost for the owners!!

Oooh, the first years - were you in the green overalls?? -thats v.cool!!!

Oh and its ten part - so lots more to go!!
