A weighted mark is where your results are calculated to the percentages they're meant to be overall, what it is out of depends on your unit! For example, you might get say 80% on coursework and 60% on exam, but if the coursework is only worth say 40%, exam 60% of the unit overall, then the mark will be weighted so it's 32% coursework and 36% exam. (Don't quote me on those calculations, I might have got it wrong, but that's what a weighted mark is).

yep, basically if your exam is worth (weighted) 70% and you get a 62 then you only get 70% of 62 (ie. 43.4) toward your overall mark :smile:
