Why is it classed as arrogant and vain is someone says they are good looking and yet if they say they are ugly they get sympathy. Why don't people like others having confidence?

Because you wouldnt say you are looking good if you didnt want someone to agree and confirm your opinion.

I dont feel sorry for ppl when they say they think they are ugly. Its annoyin. Everyone is attractive to someone in some sort of way.
I am not Britney but I appreciate there are really nice/ attractive things about me and some mingin things about me......obviously mostly atractive.
Am I meitherin I have just finished my essay....yea yea x

with matters of attractiveness, people would always prefer to be more attractive than less. so for someone to call themselves good looking, it's not what people want hear!
