How to lose weight in a reasonably short time??

Have you guys got any suggestion of how to lose weight in a reasonable short time? I wanna give myself up until the summer to get away maybe 20kg or something, coz I think sometimes my body is somehow warning me that I am far too fat... do you think 20 kg in about 6 or 7 months is too pushing or not possible?? everything is help!!!

its possible. depends on your commitment.
1-2 pounds a week is supposedly healthy and do-able, so that's around 1 kg a week at the very maximum. any faster and it's not good for you and it's not sustainable, especially over a long period such as you are talking about.
you have 23 weeks untill the end of june. you would have to start right now and remain truly comitted for the next 6 months.
but from experience, some weeks you can lose 3 pounds, sometimes you go for a few weeks without losing any....it all depends.
i think it's pushing it a bit to be honest, but you should definitely definitely go for it, you can definitely lose a very significant amount of weight in 6 months!!
go for it!!
i recommend weight watchers, my friend managed to lose 2 stone with them and she said it was really easy to follow etc...personally im not into counting points etc...but it's whatever works for you!

I heard that each person has a leveling point or something, when you get to that point, it's very hard to keep losing weight, because that is what your body should weight or something...

im not sure about your gender and weight and such but just take off about 500 calories from what you eat per day and do plenty of cardio per week. simple. dont do a silly fad diet like suggested.

Exercise a lot, don't eat junk food or pre-packaged stuff, eat a lot of fruit and veg. Snack on nuts and dried fruit.

snack on nuts to lose weight? they would end up putting on more weight
Kickboxing is very strenuous and would work you bigtime. So yes, it works. Don't overdo on the gym - too much is too bad.

In a VERY short time starvation seems to have this to help, give it a week or two.

Depends on the nuts. Unsalted/oiled peanuts are very good for you. Salted are terrible.

pretty much all nuts are very very high in fat, unsalted or salted. not bad fats, but its still not what you need when your trying to cut calories.

If you keep a healthy diet and exercise, you'll lose weight anyway. I don't believe in cutting out healthy foods to cut calories. However, the OP may see it differently.

Dried fruits are good though.

Whatever you do - do not starve yourself. Snack on fruit and low kal bites such as go ahead, rice biscuits, rivitas etc. Have 3 nutritious meals a day and drink plenty of water. If you are quite big you will probably loose weight quicker than a smaller person trying to slim down.
Nuts are fatty but they contain the good fat (omega 3&6) which is essential for your health (bones, brain etc.) better off eating nuts than fatty meals. Just have a few once in a while - the good ones mind u... not salty peanuts!
Id stick to fruit rather than dried fruit... apprantly eating grape fruit can help shed the pounds.. also celery is good - u burn off more kcals actually chewing it! It can also help you sleep better!
Dont be to hard on yourself - if you have a bad day, dont fret. Just decide to stop - have a cold glass of water and call it a day. Ice cold water is good.
If you cut down kcals you will loose weight - just do it sensibly - dont go on one of these fad diets because you will just put on the weight you lost before you can say bobs your uncle! It's better to loose weight slowly and then learn how to maintain it. Have fun!

Less food sources in body, causes body to use fat stores as energy.

Eat Less -> Change in metabolism rate -> Change in how energy in the body is used -> fatty acids broken down -> Loss of weight.

Phew! :p:
