Hey. I have a drama interview at Warwick uni in a couple of weeks. Has ne1 already bin or planning wat thier gonna do 4 ther talk...coz i have no idea! The info they gave me was really vague, just to prepare a short talk (no more than 5 mins) on the strengths and weaknesses of a performance i was in or have seen. Any tips from ne1? xxx

Sounds the same as my interview last year. The fact it is really vauge is good!! I did my talk on a production of Dr Faustus that I had seen. I just rambled on and on about what aspects of the production worked and what didn't. We did the talks in small groups of about four. Some people focused on the strengths of the acting in the performance, I concentrated on the production elements and whether I thought they had the right effect on the audience, suggesting possible aims that director could have had. I thought this was a good route to take as it allowed me to show awareness of context and stuff like that. The day was fun. Short talk then a tour and some lunch with students then the interview in groups. Each took it in turn to do talk and then we had a discussion after each one then a big discussion at the end.

Good luck. Just enjoy it!!!
