It doesn't bother me much that they don't have rugby (we've got the 6 nations and the world cup, after all), but it does annoy me that they do have other professional sports like football. What's the point?

Is it true that Jonny Wilkinson is out of the 6 Nations? I saw a headline somewhere, but didn't read it.

I may be nice, but that doesn't equate to girlfriend-material, evidently. Oh well, on with the anatomy essay, maybe that'll get me somewhere constructive??

Yes Jonny Wilkinson is out. Wont be missed in my opinion, vastly overrated. Henry Paul is a good kicker.

They do have football, its just crap because England aren't allowed in, but I've heard there might be a gb team which could make things interesting...

The point is boys usually dont go for nice, they go for stunning or loaded or someone with attitude. When they become men and realise it is only nice girls which usually stay loyal, their attitude changes dramatically and I certainly and what was attractive before becomes unnatractive (except stunning) and I wouldnt mind if my wife was a doctor!

but Paul wont replace Winkinson either way he doesnt have the constiency as a kicker, (as discussed before i dont think he will replace tindall either)

While Wilkinson is injured he probably would. You'd be surprised. There is no other outstanding candidate. Paul had over 85% kicking average in the last three years he was in league. Dont tell me thats not consistent.

And who will replace Tindall then?

Even Stuart Barnes (t*sser) reckons Paul will be given a chance, a chance he deserves. You must have seen in the world cup what Ilestyn Harris can do, Paul is very similar but He needs class around him like Harris. Like I said watch a game of league with him playing, you'd be very surprised. Paul doesnt shine as much in union because the quality of support play is cr*p.

So he just wants his girlfriend to be with him.

For Londoners who want to buy their gf the best, here are my recommendations, in ascending order of price. Each has their own special Valentine's products.

Flowers - Moyses Stevens - Sloane St (Florists to the royals)
Chocolates - Godiva - Chocolate Room in Harrods.
Underwear - Janet Reger - Beauchamp Place (absolutely stunning panties!).
Shoes - Jimmy Choo - (New) Bond Street boutique.
    Jewellery - Tiffany's - (Old) Bond Street.
Commericialism  I'd rather my boyfriend make me a card, i'd be happy with that. In fact, we have had a pact for the last 3 yrs that we spend no money on Valentines Day because if you do, you miss the point

You'll soon find out that some (probably most) girls do like receiving gifts. Materialistic? Perhaps, but that doesn't bother me - there are far more important things about a girl than not being materialistic. Obviously it's the thought that counts - I'm not saying that giving a platinum necklace shows you love a girl any more than giving her a hallmark card. But chances are, for most girls, a platinum necklace is going to please her more.

There is a market for upmarket valentines gifts, so companies cater for this market. Those who buy into this market are not being fooled, they just want to make someone happy.

Perhaps it is all about image and vanity. I couldn't tell you. I do know that there are millions of luxury products for which there are cheaper alternatives. Does that make everyone who buys them show-offs?

Yes, it's true, I would like to get a platinum necklace (if it's a nice one) more than just a card. As long as my boyfriend (hahaha) didn't bankrupt himself getting it. That's what I'd always be worried about, and as long as the gift means something, I guess it'll always be appreciated.

Join the club. But what I really hate is Valentine's day when my "best friend" pulls the guy I've fancied all year, and have been dancing with all evening, in front of me. Or when same "best friend" agrees to go out with a different guy who you've been obsessing over all year. Or when you spend the evening on MSN telling the guy who is the most perfect for you in the world to ask out another girl (who he will have been with for two years very soon  ).

    Dammit, I love that day.

Joey, putting myself down is just easy for me to do! I'm not expecting compliments or anything, tis just me complaining.
