Not sure of the Human Geog component of their course but Exter has a very good reputation for Geography.
Most Uni geog course have a standard first year where you do a mixture and then do your own choice of specialisms in 2nd and 3rd year. Certainly as prestige goes, Exeter is better than Cardiff and BristolUWE for Geography... and probably in general too I suspect!

I want to study geog at uni (2005 entry). Out of those 3 i would choose Exeter (i was looking at the prospectus today actually!). But i'm going to apply to Durham, Bristol, Nottingham and a few others, not sure yet. Maybe Exeter.

I would pick Exeter. Best reputation, nice place to live. I live in Bristol and lots of UWE students have told me that it's a pain in the arse getting there because if they house you in the centre (as many are, which is really convenient for nightlife) you have to get a rickety old bus to uni and its a bit annoying.

I would go to exceter or Cardif depending on which city you prefer. Bristol is a lovely city to go to uni in but UWE is a total hole and is much lower down the league tables than the other 2.

yeh i am still applying to do history, i was posting for a friend who wasn't sure which one to choose. have u heard from durham yet??? im still waiting to hear from York and Bristol!!

No, still no durham-apparently it'll be before the end of the month. Still no york? Kildare is still waiting too!

exeter & cardiff are both ok. except didnt think exeter were human geog, & cardiff only was with planning. if you just mean ba geog, which i think you might, although everyone else says exeter, they are both q good so i would get your friend to visit them & choose which one she would like to live in. cardiff is apparently really nice, as is exeter (i know of someone who wen)
