What about from crewe to keele?
Cheers fluffball
The number 85 bus from across the road (outside Crewe Arms Hotel) of the train station and that brings you right onto campus. It costs roughly £2.30 but it may have recently gone up. It goes through alot of the countryside so don't panic if you think you might be on the wrong bus lol, its usually a mini-bus anyway, and is run by Arriva. This takes roughly 45mins as its a bus and takes forever.

From Stoke train station you can get the number 29 bus from across the road, and that will also bring you onto campus. It takes roughly 45mins (to drive it'll take 20mins lol) and stops in Newcastle-under-Lyme too, so don't get off there cos you'd be stuck 10mins away lol. Stay on until it enters the campus, and you'll know about it as its up and down a big hill and the uni looks like a little town as you come over the rise lol. There is a big medical school and several new science buildings are being built on the road up to the campus.

--------------

And a taxi from crewe would cost around £12 as an estimate. Its further away and there isn't really any 'quick' way to get there. If you get the bus, you can get an earlier one and have a look around campus for abit?...
29 buses (supposedly) run every 20 minutes and will cost £1.30 each way. It's probably cheaper for you to go to Crewe station...

How much will it cost you to get to Stafford? The 101 bus goes from Stafford Rail Station to Newcastle Bus Station, then you can get the number 29 or 30 from Newcastle to Keele. It's the same bus company (First) so you can buy a Day ticket for £3.50, which will cover your journey each way. It takes an hour between Stafford and Newcastle and they run every 20 minutes I think. For bus times: http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/northwest/staffordshire/home/index.php

I know it sounds a bit of a hassle, but it may be worth it if it's cheaper going to Stafford as the 101 is very reliable - I've used it quite a few times as Stafford is my home town.

Buses from Crewe are every hour, it's about £2.30 for a single but £2.60 for a return I think
Good luck for your interview! Have you sorted out how you're getting here yet?

Thanks! Yes i'm sorted cheers because it turns out that i have an interview at liverpool the day before, so i'm up in the right direction now, and as it won't take so long i can get to crewe earlier so will have enough time to try and attempt the bus!!

Thank you for all the advice!

The number 29 bus goes to Keele from Stoke on Trent station, cross the road and then walk leftwards a bit, you should see the bus stop when you leave the station anyway.
