Did either of you guys specify a college preference. I'm very tempted to apply but the interview terrifies me.

I did.

Hi, I am from India. I have applied for the MSc in Financial Mathematics course at LSE, UCL, Kings and Imperial. As of now, I have an offer from kings. What kind of employment opportunities are there for post grads from King's College, London from this course?

I'm guessing (and hoping) that nobody's heard back yet?... Because I most certainly have not.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'm a second year student seriously considering this course and was wondering what your plans are for funding? The course+living costs come to nearly £20000 (I guess this is true for all masters courses). I'm debating whether to stay on an MSci track or leave for this MSc =(

Thanks, it was an email during the week saying that my application has been considered and I will be asked to attend an interview. I suppose I will get another email soon with details

Very cool. Keep us posted. Besides the survey email, I haven't heard anything back.
Best of luck!

Hi guys. I just got invited for an interview next week. I'm only slightly (OK, a lot) panicking because I've been out of school for almost 3 years so I may have forgotten most of the algebra that they're going to ask about.

Anyone who's been through the interview process: do you have any guidance/advice re: how to prepare best for it?

I've had my interview today and my performance has been pretty 'meh.' Just curious whether it is customary to follow up and write thank you emails as with regular job interviews. Has anyone done that for a school interview?

I've heard that meh performance is still enough to get in. They understand people are stressed and nervous.

Who interviewed you? What were the questions like?

I was interviewed by Dr Kathryn Gillow and Dr Ian Griffiths. Awesome people, both of them! So nice and very patient.
Objectively speaking, I don't think the questions were hard, but I've been out of school for a while so they were tough-ish for me until I would get to the "Ah!" moment with their help. I think they are reasonable if you're currently doing a math degree and haven't had a gap in your education (like me). Other than that, I can only say that the questions were not from the topics suggested in earlier pages.
