Diagrams and mind maps with the key theories and theorists for each topic is pretty decent. My tutor gave us a A3 tree diagram so we would put all the key theorists on for functionalism and then I went away and did more of them same for each topic such as education, family, etc.
As Parsons is a functionalist and makes a theory of the warm bath , does he agree with primary socialisation or neglect it ?

Yes he does primary socialisation is the family ie warm bath theory support is also there for school religion etc as functionalist see the good in society

Hi!, I was wondering on how to answer a 10 mark question?
I know we have to analyse but I'm not 100% sure what it means by that... do we use a study or something? A structure would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to write the two 10 markers:
"Outline and explain two reasons for the growth of religious movements"
and
"Outline and explain two explanations for the causes of crime put forward by right realists"
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Many thanks
Can i have some examples of some norms where people who conform to it get a
positive sanction ?
Does anyone know why Sociologists don't like experiments / lab? Why this method isn't useful.

Usually the data is in Quantative data so it lacks validity as its in numerical form and doesn't provide us with reasons in evidence where as an interview can

Thank you! Just to expand, if these methods are quantitative - don't positivists like them? I thought positivists liked reliable data.
Hi I'm retaking Sociology A2 Beliefs in society and Crime and Deviance, got a B at AS but a D and E in A2. What tips do you have for resitting as well as essay technique for the different types of questions this year? Still doing old spec btw
Hi, I am resitting beliefs in society and crime and deviancy after only getting a D over all, but a B in my AS level. Is there any way you could send me the content for both of these units as my college have recently got rid of their old booklets due to the new spec
