Best - Old Trafford. I am no Man United fan but walking down Busby Way towards this mass of a ground with thousands of fans was pretty spectacular.

Worst - Luton Towns ground, Kenilworth Road. To get to the away end, you had to walk inbetween houses and as you go up some iron stairs towards the turnstiles, you can look over into other peoples gardens. I even had some little Asian kid asking me "so who do you support then?"
It was slighlty surreal...
Best - Old Trafford. The feeling of going down the tunnel. Also loved the atmosphere at the Riverside Stadium when Boro were in the Prem.

Worst - National stadium in The Gambia. Security took my fruit pastilles and there were no seats. Plus was that it cost 20p to go in.

I bet you'll be the only person to say that, but I love our stadium too

Best - Anfield or Old Trafford

Worst - Evertons

Best - The Emirates was pretty special, padded seats. Plus I saw Brazil-Argentina so the atmosphere was awesome. I think the best has to be the Camp Nou though.

Worst - I hate hate HATE Selhurst Park. The Withdean is crap too.

Worst - Cricklefields Stadium the home of Ilford FC

Worst - Elland Road

I haven't been to many, so i'm sure Elland Road isn't bad.
I've only been to two so this seems irrelevant but whatevs,

Best: St James' Park. Newcastle fans are some of the best in the country. 50,000 a week even in the Championship

Worst: JJB Stadium. no cheering, not even when they score.
I thought the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff was very smart. I recently had a wonder around the Olympic Stadium in Munich which was pretty cool.

I really do not like Selhurst Park in the slightest.

Brighton have got their new stadium now, which is a huge improvement on Withdean.

I went to Wembley in April , the ground looked quite good but the surrounding area was a bit crap
Love - Either Selhurst Park or Ninian Park.
Worst - Pick a cookie cutter new stadium, any of them. They are all grey, soulless, concrete holes that in years to come will just be grey, soulless, concrete holes.

Football fans traditionally form quite strong attachments to their home grounds and travelling fans develop strong memories from away games as a result of the stadium the visit. In years to come, when those grounds that had certain quirks and vices have gone, travelling fans will just be travelling from concrete bowl to concrete bowl with identikit seats, food and drink stands etc, with bovril and pie sold by the same retail chain as deals with half the league rather than local stuff, sold by die-hard fans from portacabins or snack counters under the stand.

Rejoicing over the coming of cut and paste football grounds is support for selling out to corporate ground sponsors and more space for exec boxes and less space for fans.

Came into this thread waiting for someone to say Lutons ground. To be fair as much of a hole that it is, it has character and i'd pick crappy grounds like that with atmosphere and character to some of the modern stadiums today.

For me, best - Emirates
Worst - Stevenages ground.
