there are those strips you can buy to put on your nose at night, that open up your nasal passage...could be worth a shot..

I think it's just something you will probably have to put up with, I know there is an operation available, but it's only for extreme cases.

Unless your wife or gf /bf or husband is getting really ticked off with you, I'd say keep snoring!

Agreed but like fleece said there are those nose peices you could try,
they dont work for everyone but there worth ago

Snoring is caused by your tongue going into the back of your throat, to try and counteract this raise the head of your bed up by around 6 inchs and see if it improves.

umm..not true..

when you fall asleep your muscles relax and your throat tissues 'sag'...so when you breathe the tissues narrow your airway and vibrate..

Sorry, my bad - the tongue is involved though, even is slightly. However my suggested method is supposed to work.

Should clear up whos right and wrong
I've seen some spray about in shops - you spray it into the back of your throat before you go to bed and it's meant to help...

Would only go for an operation as a last resort, if it was really getting to be a problem...

ok so if im really tired, got a cold or am sleeping uncomfortably i usually snore and its starting to get worse and worse.
is there anything i can do to stop myself from snoring?

thanx

If it gets to the point where you experience shortness of breath while you are sleeping, you should see a doctor. Snoring is often associated with serious health conditions like sleep apnea.

Snoring is quite difficult to stop...
I know for a ract My Dad snores and it shakes the whole house! not even joking here!
the best thing to do to make snoring quieter is to get the nose strips... i don't know if they work! i have never tried them... even though i snore
can u hear urself snoring? i mean how do you know you snore? anyway, I know for sure that there is this laser operation that u can do, it lasts not more than 5 min and you dont need anastesia as far as I remember. Docors will just remove a little bit of your upper tongue (not native eng speaker so dont know how it calls exactly) and you wont snore any more!!!!
p.s. I hope my BF will do this operation one day, I am so tired to sleep with earplugs lol
