question about the contraceptive pill please look in.
Hi there. I know that if my girlfriend throws up after taking her pill, it can mean that she is unprotected for a week or so. She says that the rule only applies if you have taken the pill 2 or 3 hours before throwing up, anything else is fine. Is she right? should i be worried.
Yes she is right, but if she wants to be extra careful she should use extra precautions for the next 7 days.

No you shouldn't. But I personally would take extra precautions for the next 7 days, but then I get really paranoid!!!
I am unprotected for a week if I throw up anytime upto 3-4 hours after taking my pill. If I threw up any later I'd be protected. I don't know about the pill your girlfriend is using but it will be similar, therefore she is right. If she does throw up I'd make sure you use a condom too for at least week, just to be on the safe side . Me and my boyfriend use condoms everytime even though I'm on the pill for extra protection.

Yeah, I think that would be fine. 2-3 hours after is cutting it a bit fine though...she should use extra precautions if this happens, as the pill might not have been fully absorbed.
