How can I get a girlfriend

Right well I have a major problem in this area I mean I have no self confidence when it somes to the fairer sex I just have this massive fear of rejection and the fear of looking like a fool. I wouldn't say I was attractive but I wouldn't say I was ugly even though looks shouldn't have anything to do with a relationship thats what people semm to think now. I just really want someone who I can spend my time with you know someone who I can confide in and who will talk to me about anything something with a real connection and a date isn't going to clubs and things like that but going to the park after dark having a picnic watching the stars, or inviting her to my house and just lighting the fire and lieing on the couch with hot chocolate in each others arms. I basically want some advice on what I can do to become more confident and appeal to someone that I like.
Thanks

If you want to feel better about yourself go to the gym and buy some new clothes/ change you appearance. I would say try and appear confident atleast initially when you are asking someone on a date. Are you male/female you didnt say? Be yourself and it will happen. Maybe the person you are looking for will find you thats what happened for me.
Don't avoid asking people out because of a fear of rejection. Or because you're worried about what they'll think of you. You seem like a really nice guy, and I'm sure many ladies out there appreciate gentleman such as ourselves, who have an idea of real romance. You sound a lot like me actually lol. The most important thing is to give off an air of confidence, but not arrogance. Look like you're enjoying yourself, whereever you go to meet girls. A happy person looks a lot more attractive than an unhappy one. Hold your head high, and speak in a strong, voice. Look people in the eye. Have open body language. Females will definately know you're interested if you look them in the eye, hold eye contact, and flash them a smile.
The thing is, what do the opinions of strangers matter anyway? You don't know them, will never see them again, so just go for it, and try your best!

Good luck. I hope I've been of some use!

In my opinion that's not that good advice. Why should he change himself for the benefit of others, and hide his true identity? People should love him for who he is, not who he can pretend to be...

Yeah I get what you mean and it was good advice the looking in the eye thing I find really hard to do though and I get what you mean about the romance thing all my mates seem to care about is "getting to 3rd base" and stuff like that and I hate the way they seem to treat woman as objects because they aren't they are our equal

omg lol

Anonymous (sp?) you sound so sweet, you need to find someone like you, and who will appreciate you. I’m sure there’s at least one girl at school who likes you.

I’m not a boy, so I really don’t know what advice to give. But I’ll tell you this, a lot of girls will appreciate honesty and sincerity. So best of luck

I have many friends like that too. Quote of the day "Don't bother with any of that bullsh*t. Just ask for a shag and keep it simple"

Just ignore them, and be your own person. And if they can't respect that, then they're not really your friends...
Thanks for the advice and stuff but have you got any tips on how to get more confidence? Because that is really where I just die, the thing is it's only in the area with most other things my confidence is fine like drama, sports and things like that but when it comes to something that I think actually matters I start to worry more.

Forgot to put anonymous on but oh well I think I shouldn't hide

Would it matter if you had never talked to the person before?

Well personally I wouldn't go out with someone I had never met before, I'd want to know them a bit better to be sure they weren't a crazy psychopath first! Anyway if a stranger asks you out, you'd know it was just because of your looks, and thats not a very good basis for wanting to go out with someone, for me anyway.
Yeah I agree would be kinda dodgey but I think they were kinda talking bout asking someone in my school

You know, I think I just found your problem.
Besides, you're only 15. I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 17. It shouldn't be a big issue for you yet...

I think you misunderstood the context, it seems to me that is the opinion of his friends
I don't get what you mean what's wrong with thinking of girls/woman as equals?

Ah, yes, now I read that again I see how it works... but bad phrasing there. That'll teach me to skim read
If I have never talked to him? Hmmm that would cause a problem, he could be a psycho for all I know
But if he’s a friend of a friend. Even then I’ll probably be all, urrrr ummm I don’t know you  it's best to get to know the girl first before you ask her out
