Question for fellow females

This is going to sound really shallow- which i am def not- but would it bother girls to go out with a guy who is their height or only marginally taller? (if feel so stupid even writing that!) Cos u always have an ideal man picture in your mind, and mine is tallish cos I am for a woman, but the guy who I'm actually falling hard for is only an inch or so taller than me. But I don't care because he's so incredible. Anyone wanna share on my stupid debate? x only foreseeable problem i cannot wear my heels..

If I really liked someone, and it sound like you really like this guy!, then it wouldnt be an issue. I couldn't go out wiht anyone shorter, unless i was really serious about them.

Why would it possibly matter if he is the same height as you? Why do guys have to be x amount of inches taller than the girl?

um, well they don't really have to be. it's just an (my) ideal, just like maybe some guys would rather their girlfriends had bigger breasts/ longer hair/ were shroter. it makes me feel protected/ littler! but never mind, he's sooooo good anyway

When I'm faced with this situation I simply avoid wearing heels. It's not a problem for me if there's not much difference in height.

Think on the bright side - no heels means comfier shoes! There is nothing wrong with that height difference at all.

Is he older than you?

Do you know him? Is he a nice guy , or is it puerly on looks atm?

Well yeah, who the guy is is what really matters...but I do prefer guys to be taller than me and at 5'8...it can be a search
I'm weird when it comes to height. I cannot go out with a guy who is shorter than me. Just because. I have in the past, but now it's a definite no. It's probably 'cause I'm tall. Yes I know, height doesn't matter if you like them bla bla etc, but it's just some bizarre thing I have stuck in my head...

Hmm..i never really thought about it.
Then i went out with a guy who came up to my shoulders (im 5'8" and i was wearing flats) :| it wasnt much of a rel tho..we were either sitting down or horizontal so no one really noticed.
but i dont think i could really go out with a guy who wsa considerably shorter. same height then yes, but a lot shorter than no.

No, I know him really well (or at least i am getting to) And yes, he is 7 years older than me (don't be alarmed, I'm 19 not 12 or anything dodgy!)

My boyfriend is way taller than me, but I'd prefer it if he weren't as tall - kissing standing up really hurts my neck after a while! I think it's perfect if he's only slightly taller.
My boyfriend is 5"8 and I'm about 5"6 so not much in it. I used to avoid wearing heels, because I was worried that he'd feel silly, if I was taller than him. However, quite frankly he couldn't care less! I'm now not bothered about it at all, and I think you'll find that if you start going out with this guy, it won't be an issue
I'd go out with someone my height or a little shorter, providing they had other good qualities that I look for.

I wouldn't mind, at the end of the day it's not like you're going to be towering over this guy. Go for it!
I couldn't go out with a guy who wasn't quite a bit taller than me.

I'm 5'2 so to find a guy who is my height/shorter would be pretty rare anyway.
