This is for sure! A degree from a France uni can't be compared to a UK uni's one.
There is only two or three universities in France which are highly regarded. I talked about university. For the Grandes Ecoles, this is another story...

your kidding me? grandes écoles are pretty unknown outside France. That's why I'm gonna do further study in the UK once I finish (that and I don't want a job yet )

Well I don't know for the rest of the world, but for Western Europe some them are highly considered. There are also Polytechnique and Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris which are highlly considered internationnally. But I agree with you most of them are unknown. I just meant that I think more Grandes Ecoles are known than universities outside France (for a job I mean ; known by people everywhere, doubt it!)

I'm British and when I spoke to careers service people about going to a grande école I got blank responses. I'm sure they are well regarded by "those in the know".

To be honest it doesn't bother me because I'm at one now, but whether I will take a career in politics or not I really don't know.

and I got a 15 (in French!) but I'm averaging a nine/ten at the moment :s:

cool, you have us all board now. Plz put an end to your boring posts. Do you really think people on this forum are interested in knowing if X produces more officers than St Cyr?? And if you really knew something about this, you would know that every single student of X is an officer, they don't do a military career afterwards (unlike many at St Cyr), that s another story. So unless you have something to say about perception of french unis, stop writting.

Hi dude, back @ TSR =)

Well... your answer is a bit disappointing.
I just related facts, if you want hear another reality taht's your matter. Not ours.
