social problems

My first time posting here so be gentle ;d

Well at university i have made a few close friends but they are dating so im sorta a 3rd wheel (they never leave each others sides or the room) and have some other friends but only for convenience sake (live in same halls).. I find the whole making small talk with loads of random people and never actually being proper friends quite hard.

there is a 'cool' group which i hated at first but now i realise there are NO other hot girls anywhere else, but a lot of the people who hang around in this group i would never have hung with at home as i find them a bit pretentious. there isnt many people in london into indie music which sucks because i like the way indie girls look but i cant find any/1!!

anyway i need to have the guts to go an weasel into the 'cool crew' or find people who are like me.. all i want is a small group of friends like back home and i dont and its really quite depressing. anyone know where to find any decent girls in london?

anyone got any solutions?

i didnt mean to sound shallow, but most of the girls i like the look of are in that group and it seems to include most people. all i want at the moment is a girlfriend and i know it comes when you arent looking, but i cant stop looking!

and the london students union is really badly organised so i cant even find the best nights to just go and meet people.

there are so many people in london, you're bound to find someone you like. if you really insist on this certain kind of girl you could just try to get a friend to come along to a indie club with you. my best bet would be candybox but it has recently moved to a new club. its on thursday nights around the tottenham court road area. however,there are many indie nights in london...good luck searching

As for there not being any indie people in London I can tell you (as a Londoner) thats rubbish. Are you accidentally wandering round with your hat pulled too far down? London is just like everywhere else - only bigger (and miles better of course :smile:
