Clueless

This is kind of similar to the current 'could it work long distance' thread. i have met a guy through a dating agency (cringe-i am well aware just how tragic that sounds. believe me. just did it as a laugh one day-not met anyone really nice in a while- but have stumbled across a real diamond  ) we talk/text all the time but live ish far apart, both got very busy jobs so not sure when we will 1st meet, not too far off though. he is perfect for me in every way imaginable , but, when i told my friends earleir that we haven't echanged pictures they were like 'waaaaaatttttttt??????!!!!' we've both described ourselves but he does not have a camera phone and i do not have a scanner. it's a bit weird i guess but he sounds nice looking and as it goes I'm just enjoying getting to know him, then hope there's as much of a spark in the flesh. opinions ???? (sorry bit of an essay)

Opinion? Ok it's not an ideal situation but it's hardly the end of the world. Even if you had exchanged pics there's still a risk you wouldn't feel attracted to him when you met so I wouldn't worry too much about not having seen a photo. Just make sure he's carrying a newspaper or something so you know who he is!

Good luck

I reckon that sounds like a cute way to start a relationship, basing your opinions of him completely on his personality. Good for you! Try not to build up a picture of his as the ultimate good-looking guy in your head though - it could be a bit tricky when you meet up, he turns around and he wasn't as you were expecting....
If that does happen, just remember how lovely he is and how much you like him for HIM, not his looks.

just depends i guess on whether he is actually telling the truth about what he looks like, and doesn't end up being some 50 year old paedo.. :s-smilie: now that would be a bummer.

In a perfect world, he would be lovely looking. But if looks don't matter to you and its great then fab!

One question is is how old are you? He could be like 50 and a prisoner!

and of course take the necessary precautions if you do decide to meet - tell people where you're going, meet in a public place, maybe bring a friend.

I am 19, he is nearly 27. And I may use snail mail... getting curious has to be said.

Reply 7

what?! oh please don't do this.. he is too old.. and gosh, this just isn't a good idea. stay safe and stay at home :O

Reply 8

Be careful... long distance girls are very very easy to play....

I really don't see how anyone can pass comment on the (very slight) age difference if you don't know either one of us (obviously!) Hope this doesn'tturn into one of those 'how old is too old?' threads,. Sorry if that sounds harsh

Um, I suppose that could work out okay. Maybe you should swap photos just to save youselves a lot of time/ money if you do not fancy each other when it comes down to it, (not being shallow just honest) Good Luck

The ones that say they don't have/misplaced a camera are the UGLY ones. You can buy them cheap.
