Anyone want more proof that Infinity Ward are incompetent dumbasses?

They seem to have got the impression that in order to reduce the rate of fire on machine pistols, they needed to reduce the amount of time between shots. YES, that is correct, reduce the time between shots, rather than increase. This basically means they increased the rate of fire by 50%.

MW3 + Elite = biggest waste of my money in 2011. Definitely time to get rid of this game.

Edit: Supposedly Robert Bowling's tweet regarding reducing the fire rate by 50% was actually meant to be a fix for the 25+% increase. So really they're getting a 25% decrease in ROF. Still, what a mistake to make. Makes them look like complete amateurs.

The shotgun patch was a failure as well. The SPAS is unchanged (besides the Ext Mags glitch fix) and is now useless as the KSG outclasses it in almost every way, and the AA-12 is now completely outclassed by the USAS and (still) the Striker.

Damage beats Range on every shotgun, including the AA-12.

What if the gun has terrible range or decent enough damage? (AA-12 or Striker?)
....unless you are out to troll n00bs

The AA-12's terrible range is exactly why Damage is better. Range doesn't actually allow you to shoot any further, it just increases the damage you do at longer distances. Range does nothing to prevent you from getting those annoying point blank hitmarkers, whereas Damage does.

Damage also increases the damage you do at longer ranges, which would make it better than Range for those situations as well. I'm just making these numbers up, but for example: say the AA-12 does 20 damage per pellet up close and 5 damage per pellet at range, the Range proficiency would just increase the distance at which you do 20 damage. Damage increases damage per pellet by 40%, so up close it would do 28 damage per pellet and 7 damage at range. Either way, it takes less shots to kill with Damage than Range.

The only place Range is useful would be the extremely short range in which the Range proficiency is sustaining your original damage. If that makes sense.

That makes no sense but I will continue on towards my Golden AA-12  and the the USAS and then the Model ...
Is the impact proficiency worth it on assault rifles?

Not really.

Damn. Was wondering whether to change from kick. Same with SMGs.

2 Attachments, silencer+extended mags goes very well with Assault Rifles.

Was always put off from using silencer because of how much the range is supposedly affected but I won't know for sure until I try it. Will give it a try. Cheers.

Yeah this is the way to go, can't think of any assault rifle where you'd need kick.

This set up on the MP7 too. :adore:

Shame I haven't unlocked it yet, only picked it up a few times. :frown:
I just got a kill with the Stinger somehow (Aimed at an Escort Airdrop, it looped round and hit someone I presume), and now the game won't show up in my Theatre for me to make a clip out of it :fuhrer:
I think something similar happened with me. I used a Stinger on a crate dropping helicopter and it said I killed someone after destroying it but I don't know if the rocket hit anyone or I killed the person who called it in by destroying the helicopter. First time I did it too. May be it's a glitch?

I've never really changed the proficiencies from the beginning. Thought I'd pick kick when I first started the game so I wasn't too bad a shot. Not sure if I'll need it any more because I have two attachments for my stealth class (silencer, heartbeat sensor) and I see no difference in performance.
why do they never nerf the flash bang?

This.

The flash and stun are overpowered, yet you get given two of them. :facepalm2:
Use Blast Shield Pro? :p:

At least the grenades from the launchers aren't as powerful as they are in MW2. Dome has given me enough practice to deal with all the noob tubers in all the games now.

Wouldn't mind seeing a limit on grenades for each player by time. Can see that going down well with some people. :awesome: At least I'd be able to concentrate on forming a plan/strategy without having to listen to the Blitz.

If anyone on PS3 has any intention of levelling up the KSG or USAS, the time to do it is now before the next patch.
