Clicking and Painful Jaws, should i be worried?

Hi, i have had my left jaw clicking when i open my mouth wide i.e. when eating. This has lasted for for 3-5 weeks but recently when i open my mouth wide my left jaw hurts. I chew gum everyday, could that be related? Im actually quite worried so any help will be appreciated as i am also going through a stressful period;doing 4 as modules. Thx before hand!

There is really nothing to be worried about, this also happens to me when i am stressed. It can last from 1 week to 5, i know how annoying it is while eating! But, if it keeps on bothering you then i suggest you go and see your GP. Hope it sorts itself out
My jaw clicks all the time, especially when eating. It's never hurt though, except one time when it completely locked up (that was horrifying) when I was about 12. If it's really uncomfortable see someone about it. I should really see someone about my shoulder, which cracks, crunches, pops and dislocates all the time. But meh, I can't be arsed.

hmmm
you might be clenching your teeth at night if your stressed, I used to do that, although with me it didnt manifest itself in a painful jaw so much as neck tension, its actually worth seeing a dentist rather than a doctor as well...they can make you something called a splint which is like a rugby gumshield which you wear at night. I still have mine and I wear it when Im stressed or have exams etc - I dont know if I need it or not but maybe its psychological, its nice to have it. The splint stops your teeth clenching together at night and takes the pressure of your jaw
it keeps happening to me when i'm on the bus...whats that all about lol!

I've had it for years. Dentist said that it's common and will eventually just go.
i get it. its common apparently and theres little you can do. its not harmful.

its annoying as i find it makes giving blowjobs impossible. hehe
