Targeted weight/fat loss

Right, im 17, female, about 5'8'' and i weigh around 10.5 stone on average.
Generally i feel ok about my body, my legs, bum, boobs are all fine. I just have a really big flabby tummy which i dont like and want to get rid of! Is there any way i can somehow target weight loss/exercise so that i can just tone up my stomach since the rest of me is ok? Any advice would be great thanks

There isn't a way to target specific fat loss. AFAIK.

nope. you would have to lose fat all over. spot reducing doesn't exist.

Surely sit ups tone up ya stomach make it smaller and firmer....worth a try.
I go to the gym and do various things but I always make sure I do sit ups.
If you lie on each side and do them aswel means ya do more and stretch more muscles. Cycle or exersise bike works ya whole body. Firm up ya legs an I noticed my stomach reduced and the flabby bit round my hips.
Try sit ups see how that works.

Exactly, sit ups are just what you need. I'm not sure if they work, but if worst comes to worst you could buy one of those ab-belt things which build up muscle and reduce fat for you. Also if its lovehandles that are you're wanting to lose there is a special sit up where you lie with your legs both turned towards on direction and tilt the sit up towards the other, if you get what i mean. Good luck

sit ups wont 'tone'. in fact, there is no such thing as 'toning' really. sit ups would be a waste of time. run instead.
Do crunches, they actually work your lower and upper stomach muscles. You'll not be able to do spot reducing that way however, you need to lose the fat, done through cadiovascular workout I'm afraid.

 what? sits up wont help her, ab belts do absolutely nothing, and oblique crunches wont get rid of 'love handles' or do anything for that matter.

why would'nt they work? situps work!!

for damaging your back and building muscle to a tiny extent, yes. burning fat, no.

Oh. I've found they work really well. But, mine was more to get some tone than lose fat. Oh well...

God, you're such an annoying arse. You think you know it all.
Yeah I found that they worked...my stomach is very toned. But if you stop, the muscle you've gained turns into fat, and you get flabby.

Why not? I really hate the tone of your posts. It's as if you think everything you say is gospel and everyone else is a blithering idiot. There's just no need.
