Is it normal to not want to be with my boyfriend sometimes?

I love him to death but sometimes just being around him or talking to him annoys me...but then like an hour after he leaves are we hang up I want to talk/ see him badly. This isnt all the time but I hate when that happens because he's not really doing anything to upset me . Why do I feel like that sometimes? :frown:

Sounds pretty normal
If my boyfriend was stuck to me the whole time I recon I'd bite his head off !!

I'd agree; friction tends to occur when you are spending too much time with each other. Instead of meeting up every day until you feel he's annoying you and have to ask him to leave/hang up, try seeing each other every couple of days instead (or less than whatever your current arrangement is). Not only will you get less sick of his company, you'll appreciate the time you do spend together more.
I feel exactly the same. I think we spend too much time together, but he thinks we don't see eachother enough! So I can't say 'Look, I want to stay in tonight, I'll see you tomorrow' because he thinks we don't see eachother enough as it is. We see eachother everyday for at least 3 hours!!!

If I find him annoying I just tend to blank him out. We get over it eventually

*Knows just how you feel*

My girlfriend always says we don't spend enough time together even though I already squeeze her into every possible gap on my time table! I just find it hard to say no because I know it'd upset her. I love her company but also enjoy some time to myself on occassion!

All feelings are natural! nothing should be unnatural to you. But usually seeing to much of someone can drown you and make you thjink they will be there every step of the way but you have to understand to much of a good thing leads into a bad thing!

I live with my girlfriend and sometimes I really wish I had some time to myself

As soon as she leaves I miss her though. Now she is at work and it's nice having time to arse around by myself, can surf forums, watch some TV, go to waitrose in peace...

...walk around naked. Don't pretend you don't do it

Don't worry, its quite normal. In fact, I think you would have a hard time to find anyone who never ever wants to have some time for themselves.
You're capricious and fickle.... my diagnosis.....

You're a woman.

Don't worry about it, perfectly normal!

:ditto: But I wonder what they feel like? Even though they insist in seeing us so much, I'm sure they wouldn't object to times they can just spend on their relaxing or doing whatever they want to do!

Be careful when saying things like that. All you know is that the OP has a boyfriend. Don't jump to conclusions. I know many gay people who would be quite offended if anyone claimed they were acting like a womman. Of course, I'm in no way saying that I think the thread starter is a man. I'm just saying it is possible, and unless people provide that information themselves assuming things can be quite bad at times.
