Hi

I was just wondering if anyone had been sent a reading list of any sort? All I got in my welcome pack was advertisements from the student book shop that seemed to have some of the texts we would be studying on special offer

Check out: http://www.northumbria.ac.uk/?view=C...1&page=modules . That is the reading list for BA (Hons) English Literature at Northumbria University. Just click on the module and it'll tell you what the core/ recommended reading is for the subject. There is no guarantee that your lecture will use these books however, so I'd wait until you get your teaching and learning plan when you enrol. Though, I'd imagine, English Literature will have a standard reading list that you would be expected to read at some point on the degree anyway, so it's worth starting now

Check out the NEW Northumbria Students Forum and start a discussion today - if you have anymore questions, I'm more than happy to answer them there.

Thank you so much for helping me out!! I had seen that reading list before, but I wasn't sure how up to date it was and whether we would be sent one instead later, so you pointed me in the right direction . I've been reading more books over the summer that would seem to fit into the modules of my course anyway, I just want to be as prepared as possible.

If it helps, I’m looking for a reading list too but there are some generic ones that you can find on “Northumbria university English literature reading list“ it’ll give you semester 1&2 reading suggestions. Even Pinterest gives ideas of literature classics which can’t hurt to look into
