Oh yea I wanted to see that.
Especially seeing as I don't drink I can feel good that I dont put 10,000 calories into my body per week

Well, I don't think its really an issue of the calories - this programme is basically supersize me but with alcohol, if you look at the pic you can see what happened to her in just the space of a month.

I sincerely doubt she was 39 in the before pic

500 units in 28 days? That's what? 8-9 cans of lager a day for 4 weeks!!!
Bit ridiculous even by my standards. Most I've had was about 50 guinness from christmas to new years... Yeah sure I gained a couple (5) kilos but have lost em already, and my red-blood cell count is higher than ever!

So kids, the lesson of the story is: binge drinking in moderation is fine. Don't follow the hype.
and this would be why i've given myself a drinking ban recently...

I've drunk 500 in 2 weeks before, but shes a women, still pretty hardcore if you ask me.

I well thought that was Jooles Oliver from her eyes at first.
Anyway.

That is disgraceful.

i'll watch it as long as my freeview coverage is good enough... I think the cranes in the right position not to screw it too much tonight.

Should be interesting, but I dont know of, or have seen anyone who drinks 11 double vodkas in a night.

Talk about oxymorons...

Alcahol has more efects that that on the body. The main thing I would worry about is its negative impact on hormones.

I'm sure you will have seen someone. That's just less than 22 units (assuming it's 50ml, not the ol' fashioned 70ml). I tend to drink around 40 units on a night out without having much in the way of a hangover. I've never vomited with alcohol usage.
seeing half the people who come into the club i work in, i'm amazed they survive the night

I knew somebody would say that. It was kind of said kind of tongue-in-cheek. But if you think about it the above is a bit extreme when compared to your average binge drinker. (The definition of which is somebody who has more than five drinks  )

Binge drinking once or twice a week (which is what I mean by moderation) is hardly gonna do you much harm at all.

Care to elaborate, post references? I'm not saying it necessarily is, but it could easily come across as idle scaremongering.

19 pints? In one night? Mind if I ask what weight you are?

That's mainly wine and whisky. A bit of an exaggeration, it's usually 20-30 units on a normal night out, but it's not unkown for me to drink 40-50 units if things get a bit carried away. I'm 5'10, about 13 stone and I'm 17 years old. I'm big built though, broad rugby player build, so I'm not that overweight. I usually go out two nights a week, and I drink about two glasses of wine every night as well as a few whiskies or liqueurs.

Are you sure you're adding them up correctly? Cos I'm a stone less than you, I'm irish and I do drink a lot. As do all my friends. We're all in our early 20's of varying size. Even the heaviest of us (18 stone) would rarely if ever have more than 15pints over a 6 hour period (that's how long our nights outs usually last for). I wouldn't have more than 10 in that period. If I was drinking for 12 hours then yeah I could do more.. 15 pints max.
...its not a competition ya know....

It's much easier with whisky, I can glug the sh*t down like water if I wish to.

Pints, on the other hand, are difficult. I couldn't drink more than 10 due to the sheer amount of liquid, it just hurts the stomach.

Drink problems run in my family. My father went through a stage of playing golf all day then drinking twenty pints every night. My mum's sister is an alcoholic, and two of my uncle's (one mum's side, the other dad's) have died of alcoholism. It's worrying, really.

Oh, and I'm Scottish.

I'm not competing. I'm very worried about my level of drinking. At first I'm drinking for the taste, then I get pished and drink like a fish.

Hmm... I suppose. I dont drink spirits myself much. A bottle of whiskey is what.. 26 units? I know somebody who had a bottle and a half of bacardi on a number of occasions so yeah, might be more doable.

It is. Alcoholism is hereditory. If I was drinking every day I'd take quite a serious look at myself.
