The doctors changed the way I took the pill to help me with mine. Instead of taking one packet at a time, I now take 3, meaning I only get 4 periods a year (woohoo!) and my PMS is not nearly as bad. It's a drastic thing tho, and dr's not often recommend it (i suffer from depression so my mood swings are horrific sometimes)

Yes you can go on the pill for mood swings..i did.

It might take a few different types of contraceptive pill for you to try before your mood swings are less severe.. Some pills can make your mood swings worse, if you find this then go back to the doctors and get a different pill, you're more than likely to find one that works in the end!
