I thought most people did between 11-13 GCSEs. If you're finding it difficult though, drop one.
I personally did 25 GCSEs and so did everyone in my school. You should be taking up more, if anything.

I do 14, which I thought most people do at GCSE level. (This has been disproven - ignore this part of the post)

You can, as oggz said, always drop a subject if you find it too overwhelming.

Okay'll dokay'll, Thanxx
Nope. I did 11.
13 is a lot. Secondary schools in the state sector like to push students to do as many as possible because it makes the school look better and means they get more money. Universities tend to look at only your best 8-10 if they even care. i.e it is better to do fewer well, than more to a lower standard.
I did 10. I wished I'd have done more though.
If it's too much don't bother with 13. I did 8 and it didn't do me any harm.

Far too many; I'd be aiming for five or less.

I did 14 and it wasn't too bad, it just means you get a lot of exams at the end of year 11 but if you plan out your revision its possible to do well in them all :bigsmile:

GoodLuck :dance::dance:
I did eleven. If you can do 13 and get a got grade for each then go for it. If not, then drop some. :smile:

I do 14, most people do about that many GCSEs.

Good advice.
I did 15...2 of those were in my own time though and I missed A* on one of them because of it. If you are struggling then drop one or two because it's better to do well over a few then drop grades on loads. (The logic that I'm working on for AS - I was offered the chance to do 5 but figured I'd rather get 4 really good grades than 5 alright ones)

I dd 13.5 and I didn't find it too much (academics in sig) but more importantly - you don't need to do 13, Unis won't care. If you are finding it to many - drop one by all means!
