Too Much Too Soon

Basically, i have started seeing this guy, who I really like and we get on incredibly well (now here comes the "but") He texts/calls/wants to see me morning, noon and night. At first i found it really sweet that he'd text me to say goodmorning, but he wants full-on conversations all the time.I really like him but want him to ease off a bit (or a lot.) I see a lot of my friends and I don't want that to alter all that much. Ex-boyfriends haven't been this attentive (although they were dicks!) and having been single for a fair while before this i'm feeling a bit, well, stifled to be honest. I just wantt him to realise that I can't keep a running commentary going with him all day long, or it'll do my head in! How do I say this without sounding like a complete cow?

Just explain to him he's being 'too keen' and scaring you a little, you might hurt his feelings a little.. but better than letting it go on to the point where you cant stand him!
