Another Pill Query!

I've just been given the pill by my GP today (Cilest) & she advised me to start taking my tablets today (to help the period pain for next month). She said however that I should continue to use another form of contraception until my next period because it won't be 100% effective. However, she gave me a leaflet & it says providing you are up to your 5th day of your period, you can take the tablet & it will be 100% effective (as the pill can be) from this day. Which advice should I take?

I'd take the more cautious advice. The leaflet is probably right, but do you really want to risk it?!

I take cilest, and if you begin on the 5th day of your period, you have to use extra contraception for the first seven days at least; stick ith your GP's advice and play it safe

Hence why I said "it will be 100% effective (as the pill can be) "
