I'm not qualified to tell you but they do work by different mechanisms so ...

I've taken ibuprofen and paracetamol together.

Yeah it is fine. I've done it before.

A woman from NHS direct told me it is fine to take both together, but to try an keep it a method of pain releif only to be used when in absolutely unbearable pain. Your liver can only metabolise a certain number of drug molecules at any one time, and if you take more drug than your liver can metabolise, it just circulates in your blood and toxifies other organs.

Short is, yeah its fine, just don't do it too often

No problems with taking paracetamol and ibuprofen, so long as you're not asthmatic or had a stomach ulcer in the past. Just keep to recommended doses (paracetamol 4g,usually 8 tablets daily/ibuprofen 1.2g ,usually 6 tablets daily )

Yes you can, but try to save it for the dire emergencies.

I wouldn't say you have to save it for "dire emergencies". They don't interact and work by different mechs. Normal rung in the analgesic ladder
