Bracelet impossible to remove!

Sorry random post!

My boyfriend just got back from Taiwan and brought me back a really beautiful, expensive solid jade bracelet. It was so sweet of him and I love it.

However, when i tried it on it didn't fit, so i left it and thought i'd make a pendant out of it or something. It seems Taiwanese girls have little hands! but this morning he said he'd love to see me wear it, so i tried again. I used a bit of soap to lubricate it but i still couldn't get it on. then he tried. he is very strong, and almost by accident, forced it over my hand. It was really painful! Now its on, and it looks lovely, but I'm worried i'll never get it off! I can't even try yet, my knuckles are still too sore!

EEP! I like the idea of wearing it all the time, as a symbol of our love or something, but what if i never get it off? Maybe my hands will grow and i'll have to get it cut off! aargh. should i leave it or try to gte it off as son as i can?

nothings impossible.

Use a chainsaw or something, then try and glue it backtogether. Little problem then though, may leave a tiny mark.

Do what fleece said, loads of soap.

soap, oil, lube - anything slippery. failing that get it cut off, my mum had to do this with her wedding ring (she got fat)

Just leave it on now that you got it. Eventually youll take it off using a lot of soap or something. How old are you? i dont think that your hands will grow more, dont worry.

Is it one of those solid Jade bangles? I had one since I was little and when my mum tried to get off, it wouldn't budge! She just used loooooooads of soap and ran my hand under running water for ages. It took her ages and like fifty bars of soap (ok, slight exaggeration but you know what I mean) but it came off in the end. I'll always remember that because it hurt like hell and I was crying my eyes out lol.
Don't worry. Trust soap.

yeah. its lovely! i want to keep it on! how long did you have yours on for?
they're supposed to change colour if you wear them for ages.

I'm going to keep it on for now, and hope that soap does the trick again when i want to take it off (maybe never!)

And yes, im 20, so my hand shouldn't grow hopefully!

I guess its not as bad as a tight ring.
- Its not going to do you any harm, lose of circulation etc.
- So if your happy with it being on now, leave it on.
- Worse comes to the worse, you have to cut it, im sure he would understand.

You could put your hands in some ice or somethig just to make sure your hands arent swollen.

Just try Vaseline, margarine, soap, etc ... anything slippery! You could just wear it all the time if you really wanted, but that would be a bit impractical. Most of all, don't panic as you try to remove it, if you've managed to get it on, it's got to be able to come off some time!
Thanks for the advice guys, but the bracelet is staying, at least for now!

if you cut your hand off, not only would you be able to get it off, but , due to the fact that you couldnt stop if from sliding off again due to lack of hand, you wouldnt have to wear it anyway! sorted . ... i reckon i could be an agony aunt for the sun (new plan for gap year!)

Get a chainsaw and slice it off. (I recommend from the should, just to be sure)
