Depression, Mood Swings Etc

Posted a thread a while back about being stressed & moody all the time, well this week has just been worse. I feel like absolutle crap for no reason. Things are getting bad at home & I just can't wait to get back to Uni! I'm making myself sick (not intentionally!) & don't want to eat much- before I was eating like a pig. I also have constant headaches all the time & don't have any motivation. These symptoms all seem to have come about when I started on the pill. I thought it was meant to increase your appetite.....?

Anyway, any helpful advice will be appreciated!

Your showing classic Symptoms of depression, therefore if the pill is suppose to increase your appetite, your not going to notice it.
You just need to relax and gather yourself up abit, and of course feel free to talk about anything thats on your mind

Why wouldn't I notice it? I'm noticing the opposite at the moment.

Because a Symptom of depression is a loss of appetite, therefore its going to even out the fact the pill increase's your appetite

Ooooh I see. But even before I took the pill, I used to comfort eat a lot. However this has stopped & I'm now struggling to eat one dinner a day..... surely this isn't right. If anything, I should be eating normally if it would level out? Depression to me isn't really a new thing.

Don't make yourself sick. It wears away the lining on your throat. Also if you're sick after you've taken the pill then it becomes redundant.

See a doctor about your depression. Just think, you'll be back at uni soon. Use that thought to spur you on and stop your mood swings and stuff.

Think happy thoughts. Yes, Peter Pan was written by a paedophile but it has good lessons lol.

Well no, because depression can effect you in different ways.
Sometimes depression causes you to want to eat more, or eat less, or stay the same.
Of course yes if your struggling to eat 1 dinner a day its not good, so it might be a good idea to go see a doctor, see what they have to say thoe there most likely to end up offering counselling anyway.

Maybe its the pills fault? Maybe you just don't get along with that particular type of pill because the pill can cause all sorts of side effects and mood swings is very common.. depression is more rare but not unheard of..

Speak to your doctor both about how you feel and maybe try a different pill? It could just be the hormones making you feel that way.
