AS Level Technology & Design coursework ideas?

Hey, Our AS coursework has to be the development of a product that's already on the market. We have to think of a product, then make improvements to it, mainly to the design. There are no electronics involved, We're focusing on the design/casing/structure of the product..

something like these examples..
-a torch (that can fold into a desk lamp)
-a toilet roll holder (that cannot be unrolled by children or pets)
-toenail clippers (with an elongated handle for ease of use for the elderly)
-a soup ladle (with a floating lid to prevent spillage)
-a pizza cutter (with a protective safety cover for the blade)
-a can opener (with a clamp that goes underneath the can for ease of use)

**things in brackets are the developments that previous students have made to their projects

Any help or ideas would really be appreciated :smile:
