moles on body

Hi, i have had a mole on my back hand for like ages. and recently it had become dry, even though i regularly put hand cream and all.

Now for some reason, it peeled off, to have a dint in my hand, but still have like a layer of mole above the fresh skin meat thing..

Sorry if i explain it odd, but i don't know how to explain it.

Do you think this is anything serious?

Thanks
I had something similar over the summer, went to see the doc and they said it was because extremes of temperature can make the body do weird things  Maybe best to get it checked out, but unless it's hurting you I wouldn't worry too much

Sounds to me like it just died and fell off and all that's left behind is an area of dark skin. Can't think why it would be a bad thing. Congratulations I guess, I wish the one on my neck would fall off.

SEE A DOCTOR!!! If your moles change colour, texture or anything, you should have them checked out straight away, as it is often a sign that something is wrong. Not trying to scare you or anything, but I have my fair share of moles and had a very near miss a couple of years ago.

It will probably be nothing but you must have it looked at. All the best!

nothing much really changed except a peel off the mole. i think the one on my hand is the darkest bunch out of the rest of my moles on my body.. so no trouble.. hopefully.. thanks

Well I've got one dark raised one on the side of my neck that I've always had, then a couple of years ago I developed a lighter coloured slightly raised one further round the front of my neck, and I have a couple of other ones that have appeared over time.

I've never been worried about it though, I figured that if I had cancer I'd be dead by now, right?

I had a mole on my forearm that changed colour and texture very quickly, was not painful at all but I was worried and went to the doctor. They removed under local anaesthetic and said that it could have developed into something quite nasty. Everything is ok now thankfully.

So to the OP - please do not listen to anyone who tells you to ignore it. Too many people ignore dodgy moles, and many die because of it, so get it checked out and put your mind at rest.

That is a pretty major change!

Well i had once ages ago.. a few year back.. tried to peel it off.. when it was cut or something on the mole.. with a clicking pencil ^-^" no effect there.. as it grew back as it was.. which kinda annoyed me.. as i thought it would just stay down and all

This website it pretty useful. I suggest you read it and realise how serious a problem moles can be before the next time you pick one with a mechanical pencil!

Nope, I did consider it a while back but decided I was being paranoid. If I do go and see someone I don't want to see my current GP about it though. The problem is I had some non-mole-related issues a while back that I went to see him about, and I'm worried he will try to ask me about this if I see him again.

Anyone know how I can get my moles seen to without going to my GP? Some kind of walk-in centre or something?

any kind of problem moles are best to be checked by the doc. they can easily removed [simply and pretty much painlessly if you don't mind injections i've been told] if they are causing problems.

i hvae one on my back and went to see my doc. he told me not to worry but every couple of months to get some tracing paper and trace it. then compare it to the last time and see if it had changed shape or size and to keep an eye on it that way. thankfully it's been fine so far [i wish to avoid those injections  ]
