As in you plan to apply for 2013? Or you've got an offer for 2012?

I realised with my English Lit... In order to get my A I only need to get a D in my cooursework. HAH, I couldn't believe it ;a; I have technically got my A already!!!

i got an offer for 2012, but i'm worried that i cant meet the grades of the requirement><
how about u ^^?
Offer for 2012. If I'm honest, I seem on track to get the grades, but that hasn't made me any more confident that I will actually get them.

I'm still really worried about getting my B in Classical Civilisation to be honest ;a; I have the resit from last year plus the two exams on Persia and Alexander for this year... but since I won't have English Lit or Language after Easter, I'll have time to revise ;-;
Ah, Classics is what I'm worried about too. I'm usually absolutely fine with essays, but when it comes to Classics I just can't seem to make them long enough, and so I get really bad grades (E in my last one :redface:). And because of that I just lose all motivation to do any work. I'm lucky that I got an A last year by some form of miracle (I really do think they marked it wrong...), so if I try this year I may be able to scrape a B. I'm quite confident I can make English my A though.

Like last year I'd get A's in my essays in class, then it came to the exam and I got a C which was then resat to a B. And now with Alexander, I keep getting C's in my essays ;-; and I did the same with my Persian essays too ugh. Although... that is what happened in English Lit, and then I came out the exam with a high B soooo here's hoping

No I don't think so considering people who don't do Korean Studies as a degree may also take Korean Studies modules so it would be unfair on them.

Gah, I should really get around to firming, but I don't know whether to firm the single or the dual honours D: I suppose I can always drop the Japanese bit if I find it too hard... but then I might make myself carry on and end up doing bad in both languages... or I dunno, I dunno D: WHY MUST I MAKE DECISIONS ;A;

I think you will be fine!!! Give more confident!!! :smile:

If I was you I'd take just the Korean, but that's me and I don't think I'd be able to deal with balancing them both together ;-; but it's up to you! Do ip-dip-do? XD And I finally did my first draft of english lit coursework; 3000+ words ;A; it was torture

Yay! Someone making my decision for me! I think I might just go for the single... I can always learn Japanese another time, or just take a couple non-specialist modules
Ugh coursework, still barely half way through the first of two parts of my History coursework... so basically a quarter done. Why do I have to be so damn lazy D: Scratch that... why does Irish history have to be so damn dull -_-

Yuppie! You can indeed always learn it another time, it's best to just focus on one maybe, depending on how well you think you can cope? ;a;
YOU'RE LAZY TOO! \o/ I guess we're going to have to get used to this for uni hahaha. But oh god I did Ireland in year 10- I hated it.
Well I originally thought I could cope since you started Japanese in 3rd year, but now they've changed it so you start both 1st year, so I don't think I will cope really...
I HATE IT!!! It's just complaining, potatoes, and then more complaining. And I thought Civil Rights last year was boring ._. Next year's Year 13s get to do Russia the lucky buggers D: At least it's only coursework... but I still need to REALLY get off my ass and do it. Doesn't help I'm more used to writing English essays than History ones though... Damn everything, so much pressure ;_______;

I managed to complete both my history and english coursework last week so hahaha have fun. :wink: My history c/wrk was on African American civil rights which god... I hated it (in fact I dislike most American history but I'll never have to study it again so all good :biggrin:).

I've got some history conference on Ireland today, and I agree that Irish history is boring. Kill me.

Also, I agree that you should only do the single honours and perhaps take some electives. You could even go teach english in Japan for a few years after uni if you really want to learn the language.

I remember doing was it bloody wednesday or something ;a; and yes THE POTATOES sobbing skdfzaed.
I really shouldn't have taken both English Lit and English Language separately... because now I have both of them wanting coursework and it's so stressful ;a; at least I handed in my first draft of Lit, but my Language had 2 sections: a language investigation and a functional writing D: i hateeeeee it sfdgxrnc. If Classics did coursework instead of 100% exams I would be so much more happier tbh as well /:
And I agree with Triggster! You have to do modules outside of Korean anyways don't you? ;a; unless I am mixing up something with something else, which does happen a lot.
Okay, just firmed the single, and put the dual as insurance for the hell of it. Now it's ABB or no university for me ._. Time to apply for accommodation! ...or not, as apparently I don't have an offer status. I guess I'll have to wait for the system to process that I firmed it or something...

I dislike American History too Triggster! One of the main reasons I'm doing Korean Studies is because I wanted to do History, but all most degrees offer is American and European History, and I'm fed up with them after 13 years of school.

I really need to finish off at least one part of my history coursework by Monday. Otherwise it'll be Easter holidays and I won't be able to get help on it D: I just can't find motivation because it's just so duuuuuuuuull. At least once it's over I have no more Irish history for the rest of the year!
