They're great. You don't feel you are wearing anything (unless you've had them in for like 20 hours straight)
Nope
They don't but I really don' really get on with them anyway. I've been wearing the monthly ones, but I'm hoping to get the daily ones, they're such a pain to clean after a night out when you're pissed as a fart. Much better to just be able to throw them out

Posted a contact lenses thread earlier, but can't be bothered to look for it

Do they?

Or do they drift away from the main area of your eye, and lose the main focus?

I assume they don't, because i am sure footballers wear them, but i am not 100% sure

Thanks for any response

no they dont, they stay put until you take or try to take them out

The Boots "Change One Thing" booklet recommends wearing contact lenses over glasses while exercising, so if they do sue them!

Soft lenses conform to the shape of the eye, are larger in diameter and are tucked under the eyelids, so they usually don't move out of place or fall out.

That said, they can fall out, but it's quite rare for that to happen.
well just don't rub your eyes too much.
I did that once...and my lens fell out
I did that another time...and my lens went into my cornea

Not pleasant.
Mine have never moved while exercising, however if you poke yourself in the eye, they move (don't ask....)

I have to ask now. WTF?! :p:
Not with soft lenses. Quite a tight seal is formed unless you rub your eyes too vigorously. Hard lenses do have a tendency to fall out a first though, at least from a friend's experience. And no, they don't move. Soft lenses, even toric ones, have a centering mechanism. Blinking returns them to where they should be.
i never know if im wearing contact lenses or not... they're so comfortable:biggrin:! i dont even notice them when showering! (unless i open my eyes in front of the water like a mad monkey in fire)

just dont worry! put them on! they're fun!

Thanks for all the comments guys

If i get easyvision one day daily disposable contact lenses from specsavers for 74p, where you throw them away after you finish using them. Are they soft or hard lenses? That is one day daily disposable contact lenses. The contact lenses guide doesn't have information on hard or soft lenses

From the replies, it seems like its better to have soft lenses? As they rarely fall out your eye, compared to hard lenses that will fall out your eyes at first?

Thanks
Daily disposables are soft contact lenses (as are most contact lenses these days)

Cool, just what i need to know!

I read that soft lenses break more often then hard lenses. Also hard lenses fall out more often then soft lenses

Ah, why can't we live in a perfect world, where you can get soft lenses that don't break more often then hard lenses, and also, soft lenses rarely fall out!

What i don't really understand, is if the lenses is soft, shouldn't it be easier to fall out then hard lenses, as its thinner and softer?

I guess both hard and soft lenses have their good and bad points

I still can't decide if i am getting daily contacts, well, should decide within the next week. Its a life changing experience!
Soft lenses can rip more easily than hard ones, but having said that I've been wearing monthly lenses for about 2 and a half years now, and it's never happened to me!

Because of the stuff soft contacts are made from (sort of like cling film), there's a tight seal formed between your eye and the lens. Hard ones don't have that, and so can become dislodged or fall out more easily.

If you can afford it, then I would definitely go for dailies. Much less hassle to care for, and having fresh contacts every day would be much better than wearing 30 day old ones.

Anyway, good luck. Enjoy your life changing experience at the opticians! :p:

I though monthly lenses are hard lenses? So shouldn't they not rip?!

Monthly lenses are soft lenses, but they're thicker than the daily ones. And you don't really handle them much anyway

ah, ok  Didn't realise there was much of a difference between dailies and monthlies.
