The Student Room Group

Horrid girls across the street

Hi, I moved into a student house for my second year and so far i'm loving it and the people i'm living with but there's just one thing that really bothers me. I live with my boyfriend and his mate and some of my girly friends. Just after we moved in two girls moved in to another house directly opposite ours. At first I thought it was good, that we cud invite them to our house parties and get to know each other.

But as soon as these girls had been living there for a couple of weeks they really started to get on my nerves. My boyfriend and his mate have the two front rooms facing their rooms. The girls didn't bother buying any curtains and they still haven't, and are blatantly trying to seduce the two blokes (not like wanting to go out with them, but wanting them to want them...if ur a girl you'll understand this hehe) by 'accidently' dropping towels then flashing sultry looks over their shoulders, changing right in front of the window, walking round in thongs etc etc. This never really bothered me as i trust my bf and he's so faithful, but the other day i was sitting with him in one of the front rooms, just watching tv and i looked up and saw the girls across the street staring at me. As soon as i caught their eye they started laughing at me. I don't understand why their being so mean, i think they want me to think my boyfriend would rather watch them bending over whilst changing than be with me.

But even though i trust my boyfriend its really bugging me as his mate is single so is readily accepting their stripping shows and when my boyf is in his mate's room all night playing xbox i know they'll be looking at them. I now feel I can't even go into his room and give him a kiss or something as it seems as though i'm marking my territory and its kind of descending into a war between me and these girls to impress him.

I don't know what to do, keep going into his room to give him a hug/kiss every now and then to show them we're in love (we've been together four years) or just don't stoop to their level and not need them to see us together. It's made my cry hundreds of times, my boyfriend is starting to hate them too for upsetting me but they still do these things. I try to pretend they're not their but its really hard and i just wanted some opinions on what to do, plus i needed to vent!! xx

Report them to the police for indecent exposure.

You could report them to the police.

Or, buy some tres old ladyesque net curtains or voile panels for your living room so the light still comes in but you can't actually see a lot of what is going on outside.

It can't be just you who's seen them, maybe one of your other neighbours will report them before you have to.

Next time you see them, suggest some effective anti-cellulite products they might want to try...

They're just being silly for pity's sake. They don't want to steal your boyfriend - what incredible paranoia.

Personally, I'd just start shagging in your boyfriend's room with the curtains open. It may well mean that they end up putting up the old lady curtains and saving you a bob or two.

urgh! what utterly horrible girls!! what sluts! unbelievable! i think you should install a live webcam or something...you could even make some money! failing that, rent a pervy old man to stand at the window and touch his crotch whenever they do a 'show'.
seriously though...these girls sounds low and i'm sure your boyf knows this too. if you draw the curtains and ignore them i'm sure they will eventually get bored.

Sniper Rifle!!!

Oh well, stop being silly though that said sounds like your Bf is getting free shows, I agree with the webcam idea, put it on the web.

Reply 8

i vote for the pervy old man idea.....
you can rent out that room to pervy old men...that way you can enrich you beer and clubbing fund

Reply 9

Have sex with your bf with the light on in front of the window. Or if you're embarrassed, do what Manatee said and hold up a roller of that anti-cellulite cream and point they should use it.

Reply 10

Sounds like you're just being a nob to me.

Reply 11

you could move all the funiture around so ur back would be to them most of the time

Reply 12

Anonymous girl, dont worry about those trifles, just make urself more charming, then thats ok,right?lol

Reply 13

This must be really upsetting for you, but as you've said yourself they're starting to make your boyfriend angry for upsetting you which really suggests that he values you far, far higher than a couple of slutty girls he doesn't know - as it should be! As long as he knows how much you hate whats going on, I don't see any reason why he'll feel like you're invading his space with his friends.

Also, I'd go with the curtains idea. Nasty :s-smilie:

Sniper Rifle!!!

Damn you, I was gonna suggest that.

Or just ask your boyfriend to ring them up and say he's sick of seeing fat chicks everytime he looks out the window

Damn right I'd be pissed off too! These girls seem awful! Fair do's if you had done something to them......

They obviously see it as a laugh. You could either play them back at their game by doing the above suggestions (teeheee- some funny ones there!) or just be out f your way nice to them. If they are human, they might feel guilty. At the end of the day they are slags...... or just really desperate (I don't mean that in a nasty way to your bf & his mate, I mean that they have to resort to stripping in front of a window to get attention). Jeleous girls.

My best advice is to just ignore them, as they're a bunch of sad slags who have nothing better to do. If it gets really bad, just report them and let the police sort it out.

Or you could stick a giant poster of this on your window facing them:

That way, you can block yourselves from their view, and drop them a subtle hint

That's really pathetic. They must have no self-esteem if they have to do that to get their kicks.

Ignoring them will soon put a stop to this. Net curtain up and they'll never know anyone's looking over even if a few of the boys decide to keep doing it.
