Worth emailing a uni before applying? watch

    I heard that when you apply through UCAS, any previous correspondence you've had with them will show up. And it helps if you've shown you've really wanted to go to said uni for a while. True story?

    Im not sure but if you contacted the Uni beforehand and your subject admission they will know about you..apart from that im :-/

    LOL, they have hundreds of applicants, so it's doubtful they'll remember you. What you've said isn't true anyway.

    However, it definitely helped me when applying to mine. I emailed Nottingham, Birmingham and Loughborough about their courses. Birmingham never replied, Nottingham sent me a one line reply, but Loughborough sent me a detailed reply and linked me to their open days etc. One year later and I'm a fresher at Loughborough :awesome:

    Well unless you have a good reason to email them then there is no point. If there is a question you need to ask then obviously ask it. Emailing the universities before applying helped me, but that's because my circumstances were a bit unusual.
