    Hello!

I'm new here and wonder if anyone could give me any guidance about whether I'm eligible to do an adult nursing degree in the UK?

I'm 30 and meet the entry requirements as I have a previous 2:1 degree, 3 As at A level and am doing an OU module to fulfil university requirements for you to show evidence of study in the past 5 years.

I'm a UK national and have lived here all my life except for the period October 2006 to May 2011 when I was living and working in Australia due to my partners job.

I hoped to apply in January 2012 for September 2012 entry but unsure whether my not having lived here for the last three years will disqualify me. The universities I want to apply to said to email NHS bursaries. I'm waiting to hear back but even they seem to say they can't say definitively.

So how do I actually find out? And if they say my not having lived here for the last three years DOES disqualify me, does this mean there is no way I can retrain as a nurse until three years is up ie 2014 entry?

    That seems too far away!

Thank you in advance for your advice ...

Unfortunately, I think it does disqualify you. I don't think you would have any other option except to wait for 2014 entry.
