Ive been in university for 3 days now and have been having panic attacks for the last day now, ive not bonded with my flatmates at all, we're all different and have no common points to bond over and they all seem to have already had friends here or have made friends and aren't bothered about making friends with their flatmates. i'm quite introverted and shy but have been putting in so much effort to make friends to no avail. everything is mounting up on me thinking im not going to have anyone to stay with for next year how am i going to live here for 3 years with no friends etc.
sorry if this is a load of undecipherable mess im not in a good place right now and cant express myself properly. any advice at all, please?!

Gtfo the computer. Get up. Go out of your room. Go wherever they are in the house. Ask them when theyre going out for a drink next. Ask if you can join them. There, you have friends.

Sign up to some societies at your university, you might find people with similar interests?

Go somewhere you like, do something you like, etc... Forget about others, just enjoy yourself! See? Feeling good is easy isn't it? All you have to do is to forget about everything! Now, turn to the first guy you see and talk to him. Mission accomplished.

It's only been 3 days give it more time, it'll probably get better soon. You'll probably get to know them more over time. Speak with people on your course and get to know them. Try speaking to other people staying in the same halls place. Join some societies.

Well staying in your room is no good is it! You're not going to make friends like that.
Does your halls have a facebook group where you can meet people? Mine does and people post on it about parties etc and then people just turn up and make friends that way.

You don't have to drink alcohol either. You can still go to the pub and have fun and speak and get to know people.
You need to get yourself out there, if nobody's knocking on your door go and knock on theirs!!
