im a fattie apparently :(

Ok...I recently got told by my doctor that I am hideously overweight. Im 5 foot 9 and 17 and a half stone. My mum always said I was big boned, cos I am quite chunky but then my doctor said that I have a BFI (??) of 45 and that I need to diet NOW to avoid diabetes. What is the best way to lose weight, cos I think its cool being quite large. What do you guys recommend. I tried these awesome new protein shakes, as they are supposed to help lose weight arent they?

Cheers:smile:

Not to be mean, but you do definitely need to lose weight.
You need to do some exercise, maybe start off with something like swimming because it wont put strain on your joints and cause damage to them. You also need to radically change your diet, loads of fruit veg and water, NO JUNK FOOD.
Sorry I can't be more help but I really don't know much about dieting. Maybe join a diet thingy like Slimming World or something.

Do you think i could actually float? Ive never tried swimming. Do you think that I could get thin by running? I can do that sometimes- but i dont eat junk food. Just mcdonalds and stuff at most.

dont worry too much about it. Plan ur meals. Have salads in the afternoon. Eat light during supper. have a fruit during the day...drink plenty of water and go for a run...put on ur mp3 player. Enjoy the regime change...u'll lose weight automatically. Oh also - no fast food. And dont bother too much with what people think about it. I like ur attitude. U feel cool the way you are which is cool.

are you by any chance trolling?

the BFI thingy u sed about is proably your BMI (body mass index which gives a rough estimate of how much you should weigh in relation to your height. all i can say is snack more on fruit, do a bit more excercise and cut out junk food (and just have it as a treat rather than just another ordinary part of your life-if that makes sence)
good luck

You're drinking shakes that help you gain weight...

They don't help gain weight at all, calories in vs calories out is the factor here.

Due to your massive amount of fatness, you can get away with eating barely anything provided you've got a small amount of will power and the fat will fall of you.

Not to be funny but there's more than a few things he's said that make me think he's just making this up and doing it for attention...
Are you really sure about BMI of 45? 18.5-24.9 is normal, 45 would be dead.

They will make you fat if you are not using them after a large workout.

Ok well

a) mcdonalds is junk food..and rather bad for you
b) its not exactly cool bordering on having diabetes because of your weight.
c) you've gotten used to big portions so of course you'll feel a lack if you cut down..but you should.

Lol 45! Bloody hell! protein shakes help you build up weight...I remember being put on Complan when I was about 6 and I kept throwing up because it tasted so gross. So yeah, maybe SlimFast tastes nicer.

Can I have some of your weight?
Wow, Guy!

The DOCTOR had to TELL you THAT?!

He might have been Racist...
Buy a Rick Waller mask and ask to join Celeb Fit Club again (I think)...
