most of the things you eat contain water...so no, not really..

squash can count though

Considering Jelly is made up of 99% water, then yes, I'd say it can count on the water front.

Jelly would have some calories in it. Water has no calories, so it wouldn't be exactly the same.
I don't know, Jelly contains heaps of sugar too. Maybe you'd be drinking water, but you'd be consuming sugar too, so the sugar would kind of outweigh the benifits of drinking the water. Just drink plain water, in a glass, simple.

2litres of water a day includes intake from food
so yes it would count
I would have said that it would BUT you'd be better askin your doctor or someone who knows about that diet stuff. Find a web site about it and email someone, there's always someone who you can ask questions like that!
Be good if it did count as daily intake cos i love jelly, esecially the wobbly type. he he

I used to HATE water- and still DO HATE tap water- get some bottled water and put it in the fridge- it's best ice cold...also it's not expensive like some people say because the Tesco own one tastes JUST like Italian spring water and it's SO much cheaper...!

Water intake is unrelated to calories, regardless of how else you diet, you're supposed to drink a certain amount of water per day.

And like has been said, it does include intake from foods, so jelly would count. Even if food didn't count, jelly is hardly food is it!

I'm the opposite I much prefer tap water!! Although having said that, water varies from place to place, so if I go to my uncles house for example, the water there isn't nice at all! At school we have one of those water coolers which is plumbed in, so for those like me its the best of both worlds  tap water whilst nice and cold!!

I also like tap water. And I live in ADELAIDE-we have the worst water in Australia, ships won't even fill up with water here lol. Now it's 40C outside, so the water from the tap is hot and a white colour *shudders*
Agreed, tap water > bottled water

Bottled water just tastes of nothing, worse when its cold from the fridge...but tap water does vary around the country, but generally, I feel the statement above is true.

Oh, and on topic - The jelly would count towards your water intake, but what somebody else said about the sugar, it really depends how much jelly you are planning to eat and whether you're worried about you're weight really, sugar=sugar high=good thing!

Just get sugar free jelly, solves the problem.

i don't think it does

i mean yes you are supposed to get water thorugh the food you are eating, but i have always thought that you should also drink a couple of glasses of pure water and count them seperately.
Yeah, I heard you can't count water in tea and coffee so I'd imagine you aren't allowed to count it in jelly. I find it hard to believe that some people don't like to drink water! Each to their own I guess.
I've heard that that's a load of rubbish - you can count water in tea and coffee too. Does not have to be plain water at all, as long as you get the right amount of fluid a day.

Im of the opinion that it doesnt count, you are supposed to drink 2 ltrs of water per day IN ADDITION to other water intake. http://www.ivillage.co.uk/health/hlive/eat/articles/0,,181168_588681,00.html
