Does anyone have any advice for beginner learning Mandarin to learn up to I/GCSE standard?

lifeisgood.

GCSE Mandarin is a cakewalk and you can do it with maybe 1 year of basic chinese reading and vocabulary drills.

IGCSE Mandarin is going to require you to work very hard, especially if you haven't had any experience. The writing is the worst. Learn some grammatical techniques.

That's all I can tell you, really. I got 98% in my IGCSE Mandarin.
