Mens dress shoes

I'm 21 and need to get some new dress shoes for some upcoming weddings, Christenings and such. To be worn with black/dark grey pants, so they need to be black really.

I have no idea what styles are good for my age, and what is 'in'... not to be a trend follower or whatever, but just so I'm not getting something my dad would wear.

Any suggestions? Willing to spend up to around £70.

A pair of Oxford style shoes are suitable for most occasions - if you're only going to have one pair that's what I'd go for.

Agreed, a decent pair of Oxford's bring timeless style and are about as versatile as you can get.
So, definitely a good choice if you're only going to own one pair of formal black shoes.
