I am an international student studying A-level in the UK. I would like to apply to the top 5 unis for economics, but I'm not quite sure about the chances I have, given that my As grades weren't great. I started the A-level in January and had to take fast track subjects, so I wasn't allowed to take A-level Further Maths this year since I haven't finished A-level maths. My results were the following:
Maths C1 100/100, C2 98/100 (not taken S1 yet as I was told by my tutors I could sit it on January 2012)
Economics 90/100 and 99/100
Physics CBC (that's a high C at As, quite disappointing given that I got A-s in my school exams )
This year I took A-level Italian and I am sure I will get an overall A. I plan to keep all the 4 A-levels.
So I expect my predictions to be A*A*AB (B being in physics, although I wouldn't be surprised if I got an A prediction as well since i am repeating unit 1 and the coursework, and my teacher thinks I have been unlucky!)
As for the extracurricular activities, I have attended a few national and international conferences, and got awarded in one of them. I was also chosen by the school to be part of an economics competition at Cambridge University. (I've done some work experience during summer as well)
Which realistic uni choices would you suggest (considering I can't take FM)?
