I just wanted to ask whether anyone has had any experience with Dell when it comes to repairing a laptop? I've basically got a little problem; one of the keys has half come off, and no matter what I try to do, it keeps on popping back out. I've called Dell, and have been told they will send me a new keyboard which I will need to fix myself, and I honestly haven't a clue how to. I thought the general process was to send out a repair technician?

I'd imagine they're just sending you a new key.

No, he specifically said a new keyboard.

It's normally a matter of undoing two screws on the back, pushing a few clips up at the top of the keyboard, lifting it up, pulling out a ribbon cable, and then repeating in reverse. Pretty simple.
