    Hi, i'm just about to choose my a levels and I'd really like to do a law degree in the future! I was thinking of doing these a levels;
    English Language
    History
    Socialology
    Geography

    Would they be good choices for a law degree? If not, what a levels would university's want? Thanks xxx

    Those a very good choices for a law degree, especially History and English. You might want to think about something other than sociology as it can be seen as a soft subject. Something like Politics or Economics would be another very good choice.

    Good choices. Sociology is a less preferred option at some unis (depends where you apply) but the other three A-level choices are strong traditional subjects all universities happily consider.

    Completely agree with "Grenville" and "SpicyStrawberry"; History, English and Geology are all good A levels but sociology will be seen as a soft subject for the top universities. That's isn't necessarily a big issue considering you will have three good A levels but if you don't have a real desire to do sociology then maybe consider swapping.

    People seem to consider Sociology and Geography as micky mouse subjects, but your other 2 subjects are fine, even though Literature is better than Language, but those subjects are fine.

    Swap sociology for English Lit if you can.
