Is this common? I'm thinking about doing either in my third year (if it's acceptable with my university). My problem being that I have no previous work experience, or voluntary experience either. Yes, I'm a lazy mother ******. I was quite active with extra-curricular stuff during secondary school but that was about it. I really want to take an opportunity with a year of work during University, but is this lack going to bite me in the ass when applying? Or have others of you out there had little work experience and made it in? My grades through A level and first year have been pretty good (not bragging), but is this simply enough? I've been looking up volunteering opportunities with my Uni but not many have taken my interest just yet, I'll keep searching but I just want opinions.
