it depends

I got a letter which told me that they're going to give me a conditional offer a week after the interview, but the official UCAS one with grades requirement came 40 days later.

Well I went for my ESPS interview on the 7th of December and the offer letter was dated the 19th of December (although it took much longer for it to arrive over here...) Two weeks maybe? I guess the course you're applying for will make quite a difference though, it probably varies....

I was interviewed (and written tested:smile:) for English on 31st November. Still nothing. hehe PFL xx

Thanks everyone

I guess I knew the answer would really come down to 'it depends on your course' but it's just such a pain in the arse not knowing for ages how you did. Am not a very patient person, I guess.

I had my interview on the 14th and my aceptance letter was dated the 15th so not long at all thankfully

Either they really, really liked you, or you had a very efficient department. What did you apply for?

ssees history and russian. i the first letter was from the deparment saying that they intended to offer me a place. i got the details through in a second letter from the arts faculty and that had all the accomidation stuff in it.

well my interview was cool i enjoyed it, and i really have an interest in the subject, i dont think i was the average sort of applicant they have for that course my a levels are sciences maths and history and we dont even do russian history at a level i found an interest in it purely through further reading.

but i don't know how fast anyone else got theirs, prehaps my course wasnt very popular or somthing at the interview/open day they said it would be around january due to the holidays.

For French and Philosophy, they reply 3 weeks after the interview - dunno if that's any help for you! Maybe try and contact your department?

Reply 10

cool, well I applied for Language and Culture (French) so perhaps the languages departments are quick?? *crosses fingers*

Congrats on getting a place, btw  You're right you're probably quite unusual - I don't know that many science and maths students who want to study a language, or even humanities per se at university - most of them are running off to be medics!

thanks, yeah people at my school are quite bemused was planning on doing pharmacology.

the whole interest in russia came out of the blue, was going to do a science or somthing like that i'm predicted AAAA (physics maths chemistry history) but when i saw the course at UCL it was perfect for me and had to follow my gut feeling i love history. Science isn't for me at all. interesting though. cept maths that just sucks

is it interview? theyre really nice, had a good day out in london aswell can't be bad
